SCERT Uttarakhand Partners With Kotak Education Foundation to Build AI Literacy Among Teachers

According to a September 29 report by The Tribune, with a further TheWire.in report, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Uttarakhand and the Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build Artificial Intelligence literacy and competency among teachers and strengthen digital and technology-enabled education across the state. Under the agreement, SCERT's IT Department and KEF will jointly work on content development, online course design, technical support, and implementation of online courses for teachers, expected to be delivered through platforms including DIKSHA, UK e-Srijan and Mission Karmayogi. The partnership was formally approved by Additional Director Padmendra Saklani. KEF will adapt and roll out its AI course for Educators for the state's teachers. Bandana Garbyal, Director, Academic Research & Training at SCERT, said the partnership aims to bring AI-enabled learning to teachers across the state, including remote districts. The MoU ceremony was attended by SCERT and KEF officials including Vinod Mathura, Dr K. N. Bijalwan, Ramesh Prasad Badoni, and KEF's Jayasree Ramesh, Milind Pandey and Deepak Pathak.
