Our stories are living objects — they move from Signal to Developing to Verified to Confirmed, and every story displays its current status and trust level. A story marked Signal or Developing is early information that may change. Do not treat any story as a substitute for official instructions: in an emergency, follow directions from district administration, police, and disaster-response authorities.

When we get something wrong, we say so — publicly, on the story and in the Corrections log. If you spot an error, please tell us.
