According to a September 25 Pioneer Edge report, UJVN Limited (UJVNL) has produced 3,202.53 million units (MU) of electricity so far in the 2026-27 fiscal year, 36.03 MU more than the target for the period. At a review meeting chaired by Principal Secretary (Energy) R Meenakshi Sundaram, UJVNL managing director Ajay Kumar Singh said 58 of the corporation's 61 machines are fully available for production and are generating continuously in line with available river flow. In August 2026, UJVNL's plants generated 742.53 MU, up 147.63 MU from 594.90 MU in August 2025. As of September 2026, 523.92 MU had been produced, 21.22 MU above the target set for the period. During peak hours at 9 PM on September 23, 2026, the corporation generated 976.5 MW. Around 25 MW came from the corporation's small hydro power projects, with 2.03 lakh units generated from that source.
